Eric just delivered a colorful and stirring score for the feature documentary In Organic We Trust, directed by Kip Pastor. The film premiered at the San Francisco Independent Film Festival in February and will be followed by screenings in additional cities. Check the film’s website for the latest schedule of screenings.
Eric composes for major music library - “Indie Classical”:
June, 2011:
Eric composed, orchestrated, and produced a set of tracks called “Indie Classical” for FirstCom, a division of Universal Music Publishing. Tracks from this release have been placed in major league sports broadcasts, cable programming, and television news pieces.
Eric scores film for AFI Directing Workshop for Women:
April, 2011:
Eric just completed the score for a short film that was produced as part of the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. The film Hold for Laughs was screened at the Directors Guild of American theatre for an audience comprised of Film and TV professionals, and was recipient of the 2011 DWW/Jean Picker Firstenberg Award for Excellence.
Eric Participates in 2010 ASCAP Television and Film Scoring Workshop with Richard Bellis:
August, 2010:
Eric was one of 12 composers selected for this year’s group in the prestigious film scoring workshop. For one month, Eric participated in nightly seminars with top professionals from every facet of the film an television scoring industry. The program culminated with a scoring session at the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. Studios, with a 61 piece orchestra comprised of Hollywood’s top musicians.
Eric Wins L.A. Area Emmy Award for Second Straight Year:
July, 2010:
Eric won his second L.A. Area Emmy Award for a documentary that he co-produced. The 60-minute film that aired on cable was a continuation of last year’s film, focusing once again on the benefits of music programs at elementary schools. Eric composed the score for the film as well.
Eric Writes Music for LA Kings and Carls Jr:
March, 2010:
Eric co-wrote and programmed the music for a series of cross-promotional short films for the LA Kings and Carls Jr called “Team Challenge”. The films are shown on the large video displays at Staples Center during the Kings’ home games. The films can also be seen on the Kings’ website.
Eric Wins LA Area Emmy Award:
August, 2009:
A project that Eric co-produced and scored entitled 2008 All Schools Elementary Honor Orchestra won a Los Angeles Area Emmy award in the category of Children/Youth Programming. The 60 minute documentary, which initially aired on Los Angeles TV stations is now available on national cable channels.
Eric Orchestrates 2 New Feature Films:
July, 2009:
Eric recently completed work on two orchestral scores for composer Steve Edwards. The films, Ninja and Cool Dog both featured large ensembles of live players.
Concert composition to premiere at San Francisco Conservatory:
May, 2009:
Eric recently composed a piece for friend and timpanist Jonathan Goldstein. Eric’s piece “Adventure for Flute and Timpani” will premiere at Goldstein’s Masters recital on May 7th at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The piece, which is divided into three movements, requires 7 higher-pitched tenor timpani drums in addition to 5 traditional timpani, which gives the performer unusual range and flexibility.
