Eric Jasper is a Los Angeles-based composer, and his work can be heard in feature films, television programming and web-based media. His background as a classical and jazz musician allows him to write in a variety of genres, and he has developed a unique and effective musical voice.  Eric’s combined use of the latest music technology along with contributions from LA’s finest musicians ensures high production value and dramatic depth that is tailored to each project.  

 

Eric's recent projects include the award-winning feature documentary In Organic We Trust, and a comedy feature film written and directed by Dale Launer.  Eric received a Chicago/Midwest Emmy nomination for the Music Composition category for his work on the documentary Skokie: Invaded but not Conquered, airing nationally on PBS in 2014. In addition to producing custom scores for all forms of media, Eric has written music for Universal Music Publishing's production music catalog, and his tracks reguarly get licensed for news programs, sports broadcasts, cable reality TV shows, and programming worldwide.  

 

Eric was born in Los Angeles, minutes away from the scoring stages that would later inspire him to become a film composer.  While earning a bachelor’s degree in music composition at Stanford University, Eric served as the principal trumpet of the Stanford Symphony on tours to Carnegie Hall and Sydney Opera House.  He returned to Los Angeles to continue his pursuit of a career in film music, enrolling in the graduate Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program at University of Southern California.  Following graduation, Eric joined the music teams for established film composers, receiving mentorship and valuable insights that have served him well on his own scoring projects.
